ABOUT OUR HIGH SCHOOL
Covenant College High School opened in 2007. We are registered with the Gauteng Department of Education. We follow the CAPS Curriculum, but in addition we also offer Bible Education and Computer Technology as enrichment subject for a more fulfilling educational experience.
Our Learners are prepared for the matriculation examinations set by the Independent Examinations Board (IEB).
We appreciate that our learners will be taking up jobs that do not yet exist, and it is imperative that we prepare our students for their future. Hence, we have implemented e- Learning (tablet based textbooks and resources materials) for all High School learners.
Amongst all standard subjects offered in the FET phase, we also offer specialist subjects such as:
- Engineering, Graphics and Design
- Dramatic Arts
- Visual Arts
Fostering Learning and Personal Growth
Our nurturing school environment encourages the academic and spiritual needs of each student and fosters learning and personal growth through the curriculum and choice of elective subjects in the FET phase. As a Christian school our faith is alive and evident in our classes and through our curriculum. Strong emphasis is placed upon further developing a Biblical Worldview.
Developing Talents, Strengths and Potential
Our classes are small, and our dedicated teachers are committed to educational excellence. They attend regular workshops and make every effort to acknowledge, recognise and develop their own talents, strengths and potential to better equip our learners.
We guide and motivate our learners to develop in every area of their lives, educationally, spiritually and physically to become innovative individuals able to express ideas and contribute to society.
Learners will experience a loving, caring and disciplined environment, and assistance in developing their own God-given talents and abilities.
As a Christian Private School the Word of God remains our final authority and the basis of our Statement of Faith, which guide our values and beliefs.
