MEET OUR HIGH SCHOOL PRINCIPAL

Maria Jordaan joined Covenant College as an English Home Language and Life Orientation Educator in January 2011. She was appointed as HOD of the FET Phase in June 2013, Deputy Principal of the High School in September 2018 and Principal of the High School in February 2021. With just over 13 years of experience in the field of education, her passion and main focus is holistic education of learners and the development of a lifelong learning and growth mentality.

She believes firmly in the value of Christian education and the difference it can make in the world if every learner that leaves Covenant College makes a meaningful contribution to their community. Maria holds a BA (Law) degree as well as an Honours degree in Psychology. Maria also holds a Post Graduate Certificate in Education majoring in Economic and Management Sciences, Life Orientation and Languages.
